"Newly Opened Mixed-Use Buffalo Building After Rehabilitation"

The Barcalo Buffalo Living & Commerce has officially opened its doors, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Frizlen Group and BRD Construction. This project involved the conversion of a historic industrial manufacturing facility located in Buffalo’s Old First Ward into 116 mixed-use units with over 34,000 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor. The rehabilitation was made possible by Chase’s tax credit equity investment.

“We are honored to have supported The Frizlen Group and BRD Construction in their efforts to revitalize the Barcalo Complex. This historic building will now serve a modern purpose for our community,” stated Tim Karp, head of Historic Tax Credits at Chase. “With 116 housing units and ground floor commercial space, this highly anticipated rehabilitation brings new opportunities for development in an area ripe with potential.”
