Ship Essential, a third-party fulfillment company based in Brooklyn, has recently launched its first Southern California location in Downtown Los Angeles. The new facility spans over 36,400 square feet and is situated at 2535 E. 12th St., within The Box Yard DTLA complex. This expansion aims to cater to retailers located in the LA area.
The Arts District fulfillment center has already secured Madhappy as its anchor client and expects five other retail brands to start utilizing their services by the end of June. According to Ship Essential founder David Sitt, the decision to establish a presence in DTLA was driven by both convenience and functionality factors such as close proximity of manufacturers and showrooms for brands they serve. “Being near our customers is one of our core principles,” said Sitt during an interview with L.A Business First.
Founded just last year (2020), Ship Essential began scouting for an ideal location in LA around mid-2023 according also reported by L.A Business First.
