Plano’s Collin Creek Mall, which opened in 1981 to much fanfare, was abruptly closed in 2019. However, the property will soon undergo a major transformation thanks to Centurion American’s $1 billion redevelopment plan. Demolition has already begun and construction on the mixed-use project is set to begin next month.
Upon completion, this expansive 100-acre development near US-75 will feature a variety of amenities including 500 single-family homes. Additionally, there will be over 2,300 apartments available along with a hotel and office space. A state-of-the-art underground garage with capacity for up to 2,000 vehicles is also part of the plan at an estimated cost of $67 million.
In addition to these impressive features and facilities, the development will also include eight acres of parkland as well as over one-and-a-half miles worth of trails throughout its grounds. This highly anticipated project promises not only modern living options but also ample opportunities for outdoor recreation within its sprawling landscape.
Overall, the new $1 billion Collin Creek Mixed-Use Project in Plano marks an exciting new chapter for this once-thriving mall location that holds great potential for future residents and visitors alike.
