Construction has begun on a new $137 million STEM building at Texas State University. The eight-story, 168,000-square-foot facility will house the mathematics and computer science departments and is being designed by PGAL and Ayers Saint Gross in San Marcos.
Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the classrooms in this modern building will provide interactive and engaging learning experiences for students. It will also support undergraduate and graduate student research.
The STEM building will feature lab space for research as well as classrooms and departmental offices. It is expected to be completed by fall 2026.
Since its founding in 1899, Texas State University has become one of the largest universities in the United States. In fact, enrollment reached a record high of 38,873 students in 2023.
