"New Projects: Doubling LA's Sound Stage Inventory"

Los Angeles County boasts the largest collection of indoor filmable sound stages in the United States, with a total of 389 stages spanning 5.4 million square feet, as reported by Cushman & Wakefield. This number is expected to increase significantly with upcoming projects currently in development or proposed.

According to Cushman & Wakefield, there has been a growing demand for indoor sound stage space due to limited availability and low vacancy rates over recent years. The firm has identified 1.4 million square feet of projects already underway, including the redevelopment of Warner Bros Ranch Lot in Burbank (pictured), which will add an impressive 926,000 square feet.

In addition to these developments, there are plans for over 5.6 million more square feet of new sound stages across Los Angeles County. These include expansions at Fox Studio Lot (approximately two million square feet and nine stages) in Century City and TVC2050 (1.6 million square feet and nine stages) located in Beverly Hills.
