"New Mixed-Use Development Near Historic Raleigh Train Depot"

The former site of the Downtown Raleigh train station has been rezoned and is now ready for redevelopment. The North Carolina Railroad Company is currently in the process of constructing a 30,000-square-foot building on the former depot parking lot. This new development will feature retail, office, and amenity spaces totaling 6,188 square feet for retail and 22,892 square feet for office use. Additionally, there will be two outdoor urban plazas as well as a rooftop deck.

Despite these changes to the site’s layout and purpose, there will still be ample parking available with a surface lot offering 40 spaces on its .76-acre property.

According to reports from Triangle Business Journal , another project is underway across from this location at 327 W. Davie St., which includes plans for two new buildings along with residential units,a parking garage, and additional space designated for both retail and office use.

In recent years, the Warehouse District has experienced significant growth with notable additions such as La Terrazza opening on The Dillon’s ninth floor, and Figulina taking over Humble Pie’s previous location. This mixed-use development near Raleigh’s old train depot further contributes to this thriving area.
