A new development is set to rise in downtown Phoenix on South 13th Street, consisting of two eight-story buildings – one for multifamily living and the other a hotel. The project, known as Eastlake Park Mixed-Use, will also feature ground floor retail and restaurant spaces in both buildings. A six-level parking garage will be attached to the west side of the property. Berry Holdings owns this venture while Ayers Saint Gross serves as its design firm.
The proposed plan involves demolishing most of the existing structures on site except for one that has been designated under historic overlay regulations. This move aims to make way for mid-rise developments similar to those found in Washington and Jefferson areas nearby. However, before construction can begin, Berry must obtain rezoning approval from relevant authorities. With its proximity to a light rail station just one block away, city officials have deemed this increased density appropriate for the location.
This upcoming project marks an exciting addition to downtown Phoenix’s landscape with its mix of residential and commercial units catering towards modern urban living needs.
