Bakke Development and BCDC have partnered to construct a 104,875-square-foot self-storage facility in New Braunfels, Texas. This marks the fifth project for the joint venture.
A $10.1 million construction loan has been provided by Frost Bank for the development, which is expected to be completed in Q1 of 2025.
The four-story building will feature 987 climate-controlled units along with CCTV cameras and card access systems upon its completion.
According to Commercial Edge reports, this storage facility will be one of twenty-three available within a three-mile radius. The San Antonio market currently has fourteen self-storage properties under construction that are set to add an additional 1.2 million square feet of inventory.
In addition to this project in New Braunfels, Bakke Development is also working on another self-storage development in San Antonio and has six properties underway in McAllen – including an upcoming 85,825-rentable-square-foot facility that recently broke ground. With plans for completion also scheduled for Q1 of 2025.
