Dick’s Sporting Goods has announced plans to open a new House of Sport location in Arlington, Texas. The $15 million facility will be located at 3871 S. Cooper St and will replace the former Sears store at The Parks Mall.
Construction for the 120,000-square-foot space is scheduled to begin in late February and is expected to be completed by June of 2026. This unique retail concept offers customers the opportunity to not only shop but also participate in various sports activities such as baseball, softball, golf, football and rock climbing.
The Arlington location will feature a 19,900-square-foot outdoor field along with other amenities like batting cages and golf pro shops. It will also have a dedicated retail section called “House of Cleats” where customers can find all their athletic footwear needs.
This new House of Sport store marks Dick’s expansion into Texas with two existing locations near Houston – one in Katy and another in Friendswood. With its innovative approach combining shopping with sports experiences under one roof, this brand is sure to attract many customers when it opens its doors in Arlington.
