SL Green Realty Corp and Vornado Realty Trust have recently finalized a 15-year lease renewal and expansion for 269,905 square feet of space at 280 Park Avenue in Midtown. The building, co-owned by SL Green and Vornado, has undergone a $150 million renovation that includes an impressive lobby spanning the entire block front, upgraded amenities, sustainability measures,and infrastructure enhancements.
The tenant was represented by CBRE’s team of Mary Ann Tighe,Ken Meyerson,Brendan Herlihy,Eric Thomas,and Marlee Teplitzky as well as JLL’s Evan Margolin. The joint venture was represented by Glen Weiss ,Steven Durels ,and the CBRE team. “This lease,reinforced with the previously announced renewal and expansion lease with one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds,demonstrates the strength of New York City’s Park Avenue submarket,” stated Glen Weiss,Vice President of Office Leasing at Vornado,and Steven Durels,SVP,Directorof Leasing for SL Green,on behalf on their partnership.
