Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta recently announced plans to build a $70 million practice facility in the Galleria area, with hopes of it being ready for the 2024-25 season. The new facility is intended to be a great tool for recruiting players and will replace the single-court training center at Toyota Center downtown that has been used since 2003. Other franchises have invested tens of millions into state-of-the art facilities, making this move by Fertitta an important one in keeping up with competitors. This goal has been on his agenda since purchasing the Rockets back in 2017 and he’s been scouting potential locations for over six years now.
