"New $150M Apartment and Retail Development Progresses Near Raleigh"

KDM Development has received approval for rezoning from the Town of Garner, located just south of Raleigh. This will allow them to construct a mixed-use development consisting of apartments and retail space. The project, known as Swift Creek, will feature 613 multifamily units and 22,500 square feet of retail space on Fayetteville Road.

According to reports from the Raleigh Business Journal, KDM plans to begin construction on this $150 million project by the end of this year. It is estimated that it will take approximately three years for Swift Creek to be completed.

The development will consist mainly of one- to three-bedroom apartments spread across 12 four-story buildings with an average size around 1,000 square feet each. Rent prices are expected to range from $1,500 for smaller one-bedroom units up to $2,500 for larger three-bedroom units. Additionally,the complex will also include 18 carriage units along with amenities such as a swimming pool,f itness center,and clubhouse equipped with coworking spaces.

The retail portion of Swift Creek is set apart into two sections: a standalone restaurant space and other potential uses like medical or retail services.
