Nauset's Historic Renovation Near Harvard Yard: A Complete Transformation

Nauset Construction has successfully finished the restoration of a 15,000-square-foot multifamily property located at 382-392 Harvard St. in Cambridge, MA. The six-unit building is situated near Harvard University’s prestigious Harvard Yard and was originally built in 1889 in the Queen Anne style. It is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Richard Hapgood House.

The property boasts six spacious three-bedroom suites spread over two levels, each measuring around 2,200 square feet. Nauset worked closely with their project team to ensure that all renovation standards set by both the Cambridge Historical Commission and National Park Service were met to preserve its historic charm and character intact. With its prime location near Harvard University, this property has great potential for housing students from this esteemed institution. The project was completed in August and tenants have already begun moving into their new homes.

President Anthony Papantonis expressed his pride at being able to renovate such an irreplaceable historic gem through Nauset’s expertise in managing complex urban infill sites with zero-lot-line constraints while also excelling at multifamily development projects.”
