"National Welcomes Workbox and Iron Galaxy's Expanded Space with New Lease"

Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) recently secured a new lease and significant lease expansion at The National, a 600,830-square-foot building located at 125 South Clark Street. Chicago-based co-working firm Workbox signed a 29,033-square-foot lease and is set to open its new space in January of 2024. Additionally, national video game studio Iron Galaxy Studios expanded their current lease from 32,865 square feet to an impressive 48,156 square feet – representing a notable increase of over thirty percent.

The negotiations for these leases were expertly handled by TRS’ Senior Associate John Nelson along with Senior Vice President Kathleen Bertrand and Executive Vice President Eric Myers on behalf of the building’s owner Commerz Real. Avison Young’s Michael Kloppenburg and Corey Siegrist represented Workbox while Jim Rose from JLL managed negotiations for Iron Galaxy.

The National boasts top-of-the-line amenities such as a fitness center, lounge with bar area , collaborative seating options , outdoor terrace space ,and even features its own food hall spanning over twenty-four thousand square feet . This designated landmark building was originally constructed in the year nineteen hundred seven and has recently attracted other prominent tenants including SpotHero and Total Quality Logistics .

This latest news highlights the continued success of The National as it continues to attract high-profile companies looking for premier office space in Chicago.
