**NASA Hilton Sold for $27M, Set for Transformation into Margaritaville Compass Hotel**

Ayrshire Corp. has acquired the Hilton Houston NASA Clear Lake hotel for $27 million. The 242-room property, located directly across from the Johnson Space Center, will undergo a major transformation into a Compass Hotel by Margaritaville, with plans to incorporate residential condominiums.

Previously owned by Ashford Hospitality Trust, the 14-story hotel will see significant changes. Ayrshire plans to convert the top three floors into condominiums, reducing the number of hotel rooms from 242 to 170. Additional renovations include a revamped and more inviting lobby, a doubling of the current 5,000-square-foot ballroom to serve as a convention center, and the replacement of the outdoor pool with an expanded “adult waterpark.” Features of the new waterpark will include a lazy river and swim-up bar.

Located at 3000 E. NASA Parkway, the Hilton hotel has been a prominent landmark in the Clear Lake area since opening in 1982. The conversion signals a new chapter for the property, blending hospitality with residential living and enhanced amenities.
