According to Nareit, the FTSE Nareit All Equity REITs Index maintained its strong performance in August, with a total return of 5.4%. In comparison, the Russell 1000 and Dow Jones U.S. Total Stock Market only saw increases of 2.4% and 2.1%, respectively during this time period.
The All Equity REITs Index has seen significant growth in the third quarter, with an increase of 13.2%. On a year-to-date basis, it is up by an impressive 10.7%.
Nareit also reported that the dividend yield for the FTSE Nareit All Equity REITs index was at a solid rate of3 .67%. In contrast,the FTSE Nareit Mortgage REITs Index had a higher yield at11 .87%, whilethe S&P500 yielded only1 .24%.
Since October2023 whenthe10-Year Treasuryyield approached5 % , there has been notable growth intheAllEquityREITSindexof35 .2 %.
