Activate, a popular interactive gaming facility, has chosen Fox River Commons in Naperville as the location for its second site in the greater Chicago area. In collaboration with Sounds Fun Entertainment, Activate currently operates over 40 locations across the United States and Canada. They have recently signed a lease with Continental Realty Corporation (CRC) for approximately 12,000 square feet of space.
Kristin Perry from CRC and Brooke Spinell from Mid-America Real Estate represented the landlord while Courtney Waldon from Braden Real Estate represented Activate in this transaction. The new site is expected to open this spring at 704 Illinois Route 59 within the neighborhood shopping center.
In addition to their first Chicago area location that opened in 2023, Activate plans to open their third Illinois facility next year in River North. Their unique concept offers separate game rooms featuring cutting-edge technology such as lasers and obstacles for an immersive experience.
Joining The Picklr pickleball facility at Fox River Commons is just one of many exciting additions since CRC acquired the property back in 2022. With an occupancy rate of around 81%, it continues to be a thriving shopping center spanning over241,000 square feet.
