M&T Realty Capital Corporation (M&T RCC) has announced the appointment of Michael Edelman as the new CEO, succeeding current CEO Michael Berman who will transition to the role of executive advisor. Both will report directly to Tim Gallagher, Head of Commercial Real Estate at M&T Bank.
Gallagher expressed confidence in Edelman’s leadership and experience, stating that he will play a crucial role in driving M&T RCC’s initiatives. Berman, who joined in 2019, will continue contributing his valuable insights as an executive advisor and board member.
Edelman brings over 25 years of mortgage banking experience to his new position at M&T RCC. He joined the company in 2016 and was promoted to president in February 2022. In addition to these changes, Mark Gould and Joe Pizzutelli have been appointed co-heads of M&T RCC National Production while Kevin Collins takes on the role of platform manager for M&tRCC Life Company.
This announcement marks a significant milestone for M&tRCC as they continue their successful growth under Edelman’s leadership without mentioning any specific locations or brands such as “Connect” or “Connect CRE.”
