Mott Haven Passive House Welcomes C-Town Supermarket as New Tenant

Igloo has successfully secured a retail lease for C-Town, a full-service supermarket, at 425 Grand Concourse in Mott Haven. The building is owned and developed by Trinity Financial and MBD Community Housing Corporation. John Oliveri of STL Realty represented C-Town in the deal.

The 26-story building boasts 277 units of affordable housing as well as various community amenities such as a health center, cultural center, and an educational facility for CUNY’s Hostos Community College. Upon completion, it will be the largest Passive House high-rise in the country.

According to Adam Joly, principal at Igloo: “Mott Haven has experienced significant residential growth in recent years which has created a strong demand for local retail options.” He believes that with its wide selection of quality yet affordable food offerings, C-Town will be an ideal addition to the neighborhood.
