Mortenson Prepares to Begin Construction on Oregon Ballpark

Mortenson, a prominent developer, is preparing to commence construction on a new ballpark development in Hillsboro, Oregon. The minor league baseball club known as the Hillsboro Hops has received an $8 million commitment from Washington County towards their goal of securing full funding for the project.

The upcoming ballpark will be expertly designed and constructed to serve as a versatile outdoor entertainment venue throughout the year. It will cater not only to Hops home games but also concerts, festivals, community events and amateur baseball games. With seating capacity for 6,000 spectators during baseball games and 7,000 for other events such as concerts or community gatherings; this new stadium is poised to become a popular regional destination.

Spanning five acres across multiple fields within the existing Gordon Faber Recreation Complex; ownership of this state-of-the-art facility will belong solely to the city of Hillsboro. All expenses related to maintaining it – including utilities – will be borne by the Hops organization themselves.
