Mixed-Use Development in Dorchester: Small Site, Big Impact

Dorchester, a tiny Grayson County town of less than 150 people, is located 15 miles south of the Oklahoma border. Despite its small population size, Dorchester is set to become home to a master-planned community near Texas Instruments’ new manufacturing plant and business park. GlobiTech has also established itself in neighboring Sherman.

Centurion American recently secured $17 million from Trez Capital for the development of 360 lots as part of Cottonwood – an expansive mixed-use project that will offer over 2,000 lots with 1,400 rental units and 250,000 square feet dedicated to commercial and retail space along with multiple school sites and nature trails. The phase one lots are expected to be completed by 2025.

This sizable mixed-use development in tiny Dorchester promises diverse community options alongside amenities that will benefit both residents and visitors alike when it’s finished in 2025!
