Milton Academy's Mathematics Center Completed by Skanska

Skanska, a leading construction company, has successfully completed the new Farokhzad Mathematics Center at Milton Academy. This project involved transforming the former William Coburn Cox Library into a modern and innovative learning space for grades seven through 12. The center is situated in the heart of Milton’s 125-acre campus in Massachusetts.

Spanning over 26,000 square feet, this building was renovated in two phases. The first phase was completed by fall of 2021 and included converting the lower level into temporary classrooms to accommodate renovations for Wigglesworth Hall.

Once Wigglesworth Hall was finished, Skanska began Phase 2 in May of 2023 to complete the rest of the renovation work on Farokhzad Mathematics Center. This involved tasks such as interior demolition and abatement as well as creating a grand central staircase and additional classroom space.

Bryan Northrop, Executive Vice President at Skanska USA Building’s New England region stated that their team utilized their extensive expertise in constructing educational facilities to successfully deliver this complex multi-phase project with careful planning, coordination, and execution.
