Zoning approval has been granted for a proposed entertainment and retail complex at the intersection of State Highway 191 and State Highway 158. Bass Pro Shops, an outdoor outfitter, has confirmed on its website that it will be the major national retailer in this $45 million mixed-use project.
The store is expected to occupy 65,000 square feet while a two-story family cinema and entertainment center with an outdoor music stage as well as locations for smaller retailers and restaurants will take up 60,000 square feet.
Bass Pro Shops anticipates employing more than 115 “Outfitters” at its new Midland location; many of whom are likely to come from the local region. The store is scheduled to open late 2024 making it Bass Pro Shop’s 17th Texas location.
