**Mid-America Real Estate Completes Sale of Two Midwest Properties**

Mid-America Real Estate Corporation has announced the sale of two former Transformco-owned properties located in Round Lake Beach, Illinois, and Michigan City, Indiana.

The transactions were brokered by Mid-America Real Estate’s Andy Bulson, Mike Phillips, Dick Spinell, and Mike Fitzgerald, who represented Transformco in both deals. These sales underscore the continuing strength of retail real estate across the Midwest and the increasing demand for large-format redevelopment sites.

In Round Lake Beach, the former Super Kmart property at 400 E. Rollins Road—a 190,174-square-foot facility—was acquired by Target Stores. The site is strategically located within the Rollins Crossing retail corridor and neighbors key national retailers such as Meijer, LA Fitness, Regal Cinemas, and Petco.

In Michigan City, Indiana, a former Sears and Sears Auto Center complex has been sold to Tonn and Blank Construction, LLC. Situated at 3901 Franklin Street within the Marquette Mall area, the properties total 92,905 square feet for the main structure and 12,365 square feet for the auto center. The combined site covers 13.23 acres.

These transactions reflect a broader trend of repurposing large-scale, legacy retail spaces to accommodate evolving retailer and consumer demands.
