Microsoft Expands El Mirage Datacenter Campus

Microsoft Expands El Mirage Datacenter Campus

Microsoft has made a significant investment in the El Mirage area, purchasing 282.78 acres of land for over $258 million at an average price of $900,000 per acre. The property is situated at the northwest and northeast corners of North Dysart Road and West Northern Parkway.

This latest acquisition adds to Microsoft’s existing data center campus in El Mirage, which already spans 150 acres north of the newly acquired site. In addition to this expansion, Microsoft also has plans for a second facility on the same property that is currently undergoing final permitting stages.

The seller of this land was Dermody Properties who received approval from El Mirage city officials for a development agreement allowing them to construct three data center buildings totaling 750,000 square feet on their portion of LogistiCenter at Copperwing industrial complex – a sprawling 1,400-acre development project by Dermody that began construction in early-2023.

With its continued growth and investments in El Mirage’s thriving business community through its expanding datacenter campus operations here within LogistiCenter at Copperwing industrial complex; it’s clear that Microsoft remains committed as ever towards supporting local economic growth while providing cutting-edge technology solutions nationwide.
