According to the Mercury News, Microsoft has recently made a significant investment of $330 million in purchasing a large tech campus located in Mountain View. The company currently occupies this campus at 1045 La Avenida St., which serves as both an office and research hub.
The Washington State-based tech giant completed the all-cash transaction through one of its affiliates, acquiring the primary employment center for its Bay Area operations. This deal is considered to be one of the largest real estate purchases in Santa Clara County this year and among the top ones in 2024 for the entire Bay Area region. Mission West Properties, who previously leased out this 33.3-acre site to Microsoft, was responsible for selling it.
This latest purchase adds on to several other properties that Microsoft has acquired throughout the Bay Area since 2017, as reported by Mercury News.
