Methodist Healthcare Opens New Hospital in San Antonio, TX

Methodist Healthcare is nearly ready to open the doors of Methodist Hospital/Landmark, after incurring a number of delays and navigating a challenging regulatory environment. The medical group took over the struggling Forest Park Medical Center in 2018 and has invested $75 million into converting it into an acute-care hospital. Once completed this summer, the 54-bed facility will feature 12 operating rooms, 27 private patient rooms and 14 VIP suites spread across 155,000 square feet of space on a 9-acre site with hilltop views.

The new hospital campus will primarily serve an expanding population in Northwest San Antonio and up I-10 corridor that previously had to travel for care at the medical center.
