The Mack Real Estate Group’s successful bid on an Arizona State Land parcel near the TSCM plant in North Phoenix has garnered national attention, as public land auctions in Arizona are known to generate a lot of buzz.
Now, Maricopa County is preparing for another highly anticipated auction – this time for a 3.11 acre parcel located next to the Chicago Cubs spring training facilities in Mesa. This piece of land was previously used by Maricopa County Animal Care and Control as an animal shelter.
With an appraised value of $4.75 million, this property will serve as the minimum bid at the upcoming auction on November 13th at 10am. The county has zoned it for general commercial use and according to their published appraisal report, its “highest and best use” would be multifamily housing.
Interested bidders can participate by attending the live event at Maricopa County’s Flood Control District Administration building on Durango Street in Phoenix or by submitting their bids remotely through designated representatives. To qualify as a bidder, interested parties must bring a cashier’s check made out to Maricopa County in the amount of $478,550.
