Merchants Capital Secures $320M for The Bronx's Largest Public Housing Development

Merchants Capital’s New York office has secured over $320 million in financing for the renovation of Edenwald Houses, the second largest public housing development in The Bronx. This funding will support a four-year comprehensive renovation project to rehabilitate and improve living conditions at this 5,000 resident property while preserving affordable housing options.

Mat Wambua, Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President of Agency Lending at Merchants Capital commented on the importance of such projects: “Maintaining developments like Edenwald Houses is critical for people across New York City; creating havens where residents can forge their lives and futures with dignity.”
