MediSys Acquires Jamaica Office Property for Expansion

MediSys Health Network, a New York-based healthcare provider, recently acquired a 20,865 square feet office property at 143-02 Jamaica Avenue in Jamaica, Queens for more than $10 million. The four-story building is located near the supporting organizations of Jamaica Hospital Medical Center (JHMC) and Flushing Hospital Medical Center (FHMC). Additionally, JHMC has expanded its lease at Utopia Center in Fresh Meadows by 7500 square feet for an overall total of 33000 square feet.

CBRE’s Joseph Fabrizi and Roy Chipkin arranged both transactions. According to Fabrizi “It’s a very desirable building and a strategic acquisition for the hospital; initially they were interested in leasing the entire building until our team concluded that it would be much better to own it.”
