Intuitive Surgical, a leading medical device manufacturer, recently made headlines with its acquisition of three properties in Santa Clara for a total of $157 million. The company is expanding its presence in the area and has already invested over $100 million in nearby Sunnyvale.
The purchased sites were previously owned by Bayview Development Group and include:
– A research and office building at 3689 Kifer Rd., leased to Apple
– A newly constructed 184,600 square foot office building at 3655 Kifer Rd.
– A small building located at 2999 San Ysidro Rd.
According to the Mercury News, Intuitive Surgical’s expansion efforts are unique among tech companies that are currently downsizing. This move further solidifies their position as a leader in cutting-edge surgical technology.
