McKinney Cotton Mill Mixed-Use Project Receives Approval from Towns

The Presidium Cotton Mill mixed-use development in McKinney has received conditional approval from the city. With a target to break ground in mid-2024, this project aims to blend the suburb’s history with urban design. The mill, established in 1910, will be transformed into a modern space.

Spanning approximately 28 acres, the development will include 200,000 square feet of Class-A office space and over 1.2 million square feet for multifamily residences along with ample open spaces.

Within six years of its completion date, four multifamily buildings ranging from five to seven stories high will bring around 1,200 apartment units. These units offer residents various amenities such as beach entry pools and grilling stations as well as state-of-the-art fitness centers and co-working spaces.

In addition to these offerings are townhome-style lofts designed within the project’s layout.

This development is expected to have significant economic benefits for McKinney including an estimated total impact of $933 million and generating $38 million in tax revenue for the city.
