McCombs Enterprises, a renowned company in the real estate industry, is making significant strides towards its vision for the Pearl-area mixed-use project. Earlier this year, McCombs Enterprises acquired a large portion of CPS Energy property and is now set to develop high-end apartments, office spaces and hotels along the River Walk. According to reports from San Antonio Business Journal, McCombs has joined forces with Denver-based McWhinney for this ambitious project named “Jones Avenue at Museum Reach”. The estimated cost of this venture is $300 million.
The joint venture will actively engage local and state policymakers to secure $35 million in public funds necessary for the success of this development.
Renderings reveal plans for 325 luxurious apartment units spread across a 13-story building and a six-story building. Additionally, there will be 70,000 square feet of modern office space housed within a four-story building as well as an upscale hotel with 146 rooms. To cater to parking needs efficiently two garages are also part of these plans providing up to 904 parking spaces.
