**Crunch Fitness Opens 40,000-SF Facility in Frederick, MD**
MCB Real Estate has secured Crunch Fitness as an anchor tenant at its 252,000-square-foot regional shopping center in Frederick, Maryland. The national fitness franchise recently opened a 40,000-square-foot facility at 1005 West Patrick Street within Westridge Square.
Crunch Frederick spans two levels, delivering a state-of-the-art workout environment. This move follows MCB Real Estate’s efforts to upgrade and reposition the retail center to better serve the community.
“This was an asset that had fallen behind its peer group in the Frederick region and was in need of a major facelift, merchandising strategy, and creative thinking to best satisfy the local community’s diverse shopping needs,” said MCB Principal Drew Gorman.
The new Crunch facility employs approximately 50 trainers and support staff. Crunch Fitness currently serves more than two million members and operates over 500 gyms in seven countries, including locations in 41 U.S. states.
