MCB Real Estate has recently acquired the Takoma Park Shopping Center in Takoma Park, MD from a private seller represented by JLL. The 51,205-square-foot center is fully leased and anchored by Giant Supermarket, with additional tenants including Montgomery Beauty School. MCB’s managing partner and co-founder Peter Pinkard stated that their strong relationships with grocers like Giant played a vital role in securing this highly sought-after asset.
This acquisition adds to MCB’s portfolio of successful mixed-use and retail developments such as Viva White Oak in Montgomery (12 million square feet), Armory Square shopping center in Prince Frederick (110,000 square feet), and The Shops at Fairway Village project in Waldorf ($115 million). With this latest purchase, MCB continues to solidify its position as an expert player within the real estate market.
