"MCB Announces $3B Viva White Oak Development in Maryland"

In 2025, Maryland’s MCB Real Estate will begin construction on Viva White Oak, a highly anticipated project located next to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in Silver Spring. The 280-acre site, previously managed by Global LifeSci Development Corp., has been approved for a mixed-use development spanning over 12 million square feet. This includes residential units as well as commercial and higher-education spaces with a focus on biohealth.

With an estimated cost of $3 billion, this project aims to drive economic growth and prosperity in the eastern region of Montgomery County. The County Council is expected to approve the fiscal year 2025 budget on May 23rd which includes funding for road construction that will support this development.
