Domain Development has announced a $120 million mixed-use development plan in North McAllen. Named The District, the project will feature retail stores and restaurants inspired by shopping districts such as The Domain or The Historic Pearl. Residents and patrons of North McAllen can expect to find farm-to-table eateries, gourmet dining experiences, boutique stores and more within the vibrant walkable district.
Shavi Mahtani from Domains said “The idea is to bring the first true mixed-use development to South Texas. We want to create an urban environment where people can live, work, shop, dine and play all in one place.”
The District’s completion will occur over four phases beginning with retail shells and a restaurant followed by office space then apartments/townhomes at later stages of construction.
