The Honey Creek development, situated in the northern region of McKinney, will cover an expansive 1,650 acres. The project is being spearheaded by Republic Property Group based in Dallas and currently has ongoing projects in Celina, Fort Worth, Frisco and another one within McKinney.
A zoning request has been presented to designate over 2.5 square miles of land for a proposed district located west of US 75 and north of US 380 near Erwin Park.
This development could potentially feature up to 10,500 homes with a mix of single-family and multifamily units. Additionally, at least 80 acres have been allocated for commercial use.
According to state legislation requirements for this district’s creation are necessary as it would establish specific development standards within its boundaries.
Construction on the first neighborhood within this district is expected to commence towards late-2025 or early-2026 with lots becoming available after an estimated period between18-24 months thereafter.
