T3 Eastside, a 102,000 square foot office project in Austin built by Hines, is one of the first mass timber developments in the city. Characterized by thick compressed layers of wood used for load-bearing building elements instead or alongside traditional materials such as steel and concrete, this development is being touted as an efficient and sustainable way to build. Work began on T3 Eastside about a year and a half ago with completion expected in October – right on time! Upon completion it will offer 93,000 square feet of office space at 1211 E. Fourth St., along with 9,000 square feet spread across 15 corporate apartments averaging 600 sqft each. JLL has been appointed leasing agency for T3 Eastside but no tenants have yet been secured.
