The Resort at Pelican Hill, owned by Irvine Company, has announced that it will be partnering with Marriott International as its new management company starting July 1. Despite the change in management, Irvine Company will continue to own the hotel and Marriott plans to retain a majority of the employees at this luxury property located in New Port Beach.
Under Marriott’s luxury division of the same name, The Resort’s 332 rooms will operate until it is eventually added to their St. Regis brand portfolio. This decision was made after a thorough review of operations and strategies for this 504-acre property.
Irvine Company previously had three hotels in Orange County but due to pandemic-related challenges, they have sold off two properties – Hyatt Regency Irvine and Pendry Newport Beach – leaving The Resort at Pelican Hill as their sole local asset.
This partnership between The Resort at Pelican Hill and Marriott marks an exciting new chapter for both companies as they work together towards providing exceptional hospitality services.
