Marquette Companies Secures Approval for Mixed-Use Development in Texas

Marquette Companies, headquartered in Chicago, has been granted approval from the Houston Planning Commission for a new commercial development in Texas.

The development will be located within the White Oak District and will encompass approximately 20,000 square feet of commercial space. This addition is expected to attract more restaurants and retail options to the area which is already home to Tempo at White Oak – a luxury rental building also developed by Marquette Companies that is nearing completion.

Situated directly across from Tempo at White Oak on Keene Street, Marquette’s new commercial space will feature an array of bars, restaurants, coffee shops and other retail offerings. Additionally,Tempo at White Oak itself will have its own street-level retail section with four “live-work” floor plans available.

This latest project adds to Marquette’s growing portfolio in Houston as they recently completed two other rental developments in the area. One notable project was The Thompson at Fulton Market – a mixed-use apartment building with 210 units located on Ashland Avenue within Chicago’s Fulton Market neighborhood.
