Andee Robb Joins Marcus & Millichap to Lead Retail Leasing & Advisory Services
CRE Market Beat Take
Concentrated senior hiring around retail and net lease signals that Marcus & Millichap is prioritizing advisory depth in retail rather than single-asset transaction headlines, which could influence how owners and lenders access tenant and leasing intelligence.

Marcus & Millichap has expanded its retail leadership bench, appointing industry veteran Andee Robb as head of Retail Leasing & Advisory Services in a newly created position. The firm announced that Robb will be responsible for guiding the development of its retail leasing platform and advisory capabilities, drawing on more than two decades of experience in commercial real estate.

Robb joins Marcus & Millichap from JLL, where she most recently served as vice president of transaction management within the company's Retail Corporate Services group. Over the course of her career, she has held senior leadership roles with multiple retail real estate organizations, focusing on strategy, tenant relationships, and transaction execution for retail users and owners.

In outlining Robb's mandate, Marcus & Millichap emphasized that she will work closely with the firm's agents to build out its retail leasing business. Her role includes identifying new opportunities in the retail sector, deepening engagement with retailers, and enhancing the firm's range of leasing and advisory services offered to clients across North America.

J.D. Parker, Marcus & Millichap's executive vice president and chief operating officer, said that Robb's leadership and relationships in the industry are expected to support the company's efforts to grow its retail leasing capabilities. He noted that she will play a central role in evolving the firm's retail leasing platform and service offerings to better serve both existing and prospective clients.

Robb's arrival is part of a broader build-out of senior retail leadership at Marcus & Millichap. Her hiring marks the third significant retail-focused appointment by the company in the current quarter, signaling a coordinated push to expand resources dedicated to the retail sector.

Earlier in the quarter, Marcus & Millichap appointed longtime retail real estate professional Michael Puline as senior managing director and national director of retail, a role that centers on leading the firm's national retail business. The company then followed in June by naming Thomas Gorman as senior managing director and national net lease division leader, adding leadership focus on net lease properties. With Robb now overseeing Retail Leasing & Advisory Services, the firm has rounded out a trio of recent senior hires aimed at strengthening its retail-facing platform.
