HelloData.ai, an artificial intelligence (AI) company that develops algorithms to extract structured data from real estate images and documents, has named Marc Rutzen as its CEO. Based in Chicago, Rutzen brings more than a decade of experience in real estate technology and machine learning to the role.
Rutzen began his career with development, brokerage and consulting before founding Enodo – a startup utilizing machine learning to automate the underwriting process for real estate investments – which was acquired by Walker & Dunlop in 2019. Timothy Gamble and Nicolas Lassaux – Hello Data’s cofounders – were the first two full-time hires at Enodo when they met Rutzen there.
“Real estate data is often trapped within images or documents that don’t integrate with one another,” said Rutzen “I’ve seen how much time analysts spend manually transferring this information from one medium to another; Tim and Nico have created AI products that can reduce these tasks down from hours into mere seconds.”
