SL Green, a leading real estate investment trust, has recently announced four new leases in Midtown totaling 56,000 square feet at 1185 Avenue of the Americas. These include three office leases and one retail lease.
The first office lease was signed by Slatebrook for a portion of the 23rd floor spanning over 14,000 square feet on an eleven-year term. The second tenant is international specialty insurance firm Ryan Specialty with a three-year lease for over 12,800 square feet also on the same floor. Lastly, ICBC Standard Resources has leased over 14,700 square feet on an eleven-year term for their operations.
In addition to these office leases is the retail lease signed by Carnegie Diner and Naxos Greek Restaurant covering a portion of the ground floor for a long-term period of seventeen years.
According to Steven Durels , SL Green’s Executive Vice President and Director of Leasing and Real Property , this recent leasing activity reflects positive market momentum in terms of increased demand from tenants.
This latest development further solidifies SL Green’s position as one of New York City’s top commercial real estate players.
