"Managing the New 1M-SF Criminal Justice Center in Detroit: Friedman Takes the Lead"

Friedman Real Estate has been chosen to partner with Wayne County’s Facilities Management and Planning division in managing the new 1.2 million square foot Criminal Justice Center (CJC). This property includes an adult detention center with 2,280 beds, a juvenile detention center with 160 beds, as well as criminal courtrooms and administrative offices. The CJC will house approximately 1,300 county employees and is expected to receive around 1,000 visitors daily. Friedman was selected for this role due to their expertise in managing large office buildings and campuses, particularly those occupied by government or judicial tenants.

Kim Farmer of Friedman will oversee the management operations at CJC. With established relationships among Detroit-area service vendors, she is well-equipped for this task. “As we prepare for the opening of CJC,” stated David Friedman,” our commitment at Friedman remains focused on delivering exceptional property management services while fostering collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure long-term success.”
