**Malouf Interests to Develop 130,000-Square-Foot Retail Center in Lucas, Texas**
Malouf Interests has acquired 42 acres of land in Lucas, a city in Collin County approximately 30 miles northeast of Downtown Dallas, and is set to develop a 130,000-square-foot grocery-anchored shopping center. The project will also feature a 25,000-square-foot restaurant village, 15 pad sites for additional businesses, and a community park.
The land is located at the northwest corner of Parker Road and Southview Drive (FM 1378). The transaction was brokered by Michael Ytem and Tom Grunnah of Younger Partners, representing Malouf Interests. JCBR Holdings was the seller.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of this year, with completion anticipated in 2026.
The development is part of Malouf Interests’ broader retail expansion strategy in fast-growing northeastern Dallas suburbs. In addition to Lucas, the project aims to serve surrounding communities including Parker, North Wylie, Northeast Murphy, and St. Paul.
