Two brothers, Wesley and Jerry Pearson, are part of a development team with plans to construct an apartment complex that will also feature office and retail spaces. They have their sights set on a plot of land currently occupied by an auto care center, small office building, and retail space near the Austin American-Statesman building. In order for their vision to become reality, the City Council recently approved a zoning change during its most recent meeting for the 311 – 315 S. Congress Ave site.
