“Major Expansion Planned for LV Airport”

"Major Expansion Planned for LV Airport"

The Las Vegas airport is set to undergo a significant expansion, with plans to nearly double the number of gates at Terminal 1. This terminal is currently the largest of all the airport’s terminals. The proposed changes involve a complete redesign of both A and B gates in Terminal 1, increasing their total number from 39 to 65. These modifications are aimed at creating more flight capacity for increased traffic.

However, these plans have not yet been finalized or funded. Along with expanding gate numbers, there will also be revisions made to the ground transportation plan that will better connect both terminals together. Additionally, adjustments will be made to improve connectivity between all terminals through modifications in roadway circulation.

Currently under study are two near-term and one long-term roadway improvement plans that aim to maintain one-way circular motion while providing options for bypassing certain areas within the airport premises if needed. Another potential change being considered is constructing a flyover bridge connecting Paradise Road directly into Terminal 2.

Overall, these developments signify major growth and progress for LV Airport as it continues its efforts towards improving efficiency and accommodating an ever-increasing volume of travelers.
