"Major Expansion Planned for Gaylord Rockies"

Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, located at 6700 N. Gaylord Rockies Blvd. in Aurora, has submitted plans for a significant expansion project. The proposed expansion includes the addition of 450 new rooms and a 47,000-square-foot indoor water park to the existing hotel.

This would increase the hotel’s capacity to accommodate up to 1,950 guests. The location of the proposed expansion is on a parking lot southeast of the current hotel building.

As part of this project, there will be some changes made to parking arrangements as well. This includes reducing the number of available spaces from its current count of over 2,600 spots down to approximately 2,376 spots by removing around 300 self-parking spaces.

The new water park facility named Soundwaves will be situated westward from a newly constructed guestroom tower and connected with Gaylord’s existing indoor pool building. It is designed based on similar features found at another Gaylord property in Nashville called Opryland Waterpark.

In addition to these developments mentioned above, the plan also entails constructing an entirely new concourse area that will house various amenities such as retail space dedicated for Soundwaves merchandise along with other facilities like coffee shops featuring outdoor seating areas overlooking scenic views. The entire property spanning across an expansive area measuring about85 acres is owned by Ryman Hospitality Properties Inc., which operates under Marriott Bonvoy brand name.

Overall,Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center has exciting plans lined up for its future growth and development, and it aims towards providing exceptional experiences for its guests while maintaining high standards synonymous with Marriott Bonvoy properties worldwide. This major expansion initiative marks yet another milestone achieved by this prestigious establishment, and we can’t waitto see what they have in store next!
