Macy's Pinecrest Showroom Acquired by University of Miami

The University of Miami has acquired the Macy’s furniture and mattress store in Pinecrest for $40 million. This strategic purchase will allow the private university to expand its healthcare network on 4.6 acres of prime real estate near popular shopping destinations such as Falls Mall and Publix.

As a leading private, non-profit university based in Coral Gables, University of Miami is known for its top-notch healthcare facilities through its Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine and the University of Miami Health System. The recent expansion into Downtown Doral and North Miami further solidifies their commitment to providing quality healthcare services.

Located at 13251 S. Dixie Highway, the retail building spans over 77,800 square feet and was one among three showrooms sold by Macy’s in South Florida this year alone – with other locations being Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton.
